Light weight but still really good coverage
So here I am, filling in my Tribe order. I wasn’t going to buy it, but spending all day outside means I would like something to even out my skin a little, and a mate raves about this stuff. I’d never used mineral makeup before, and being quite tanned I was a bit concerned about getting the skin tone right, but what the hell. It can’t be that hard, right? I mean there’s 12 year olds doing full face tutorials on the ‘gram, surely I can learn how to put on a bit of foundation? And look, worse comes to worse, I’ve made bigger financial mistakes in my life than this (pro tip, always keep your car insurance up to date).
So it arrives and I try it that night. Gin in hand, I march to the bathroom.
Holy shit, this is amazing. I dust it on, feeling like the grown up princess I am. The brush is so soft, I spend a full 5 minutes just dragging it across my face. I feel like a painter, dipping my brush into the luminous powder, dusting here and there, blending like I was born to it. My nose is a little red (from the sun, not the gin, I swear), a little more on top. My checks have good colour, a little less there. And when I finish, my face feels like it’s got nothing on it at all.
Blissfully light, it evens out my skin so I look less of a crispy crone with tan lines on her crows feet, a (slightly!) more of a sun kissed farmer with a healthy glow.
10/10 will buy again.
It feels so light and my skin looks airbrushed!! I don’t feel caked on like I need to wash my face. Easy to build up!
Amazing getting a fluffy brush with the foundation. Not common to own such a full, fluffy soft brush so that was an awesome bonus. The foundation is beautiful on my skin, not too heavy but could be built up to be full coverage should that be what you want. You can still see my skin through it so i just look glowy and healthy. I never thought id like powder foundation/loose mineral, but i love this. Super quick and easy and you can't muck it up. Great for lazy ppl like me who need to look good fast for last minute zoom meetings while working from home too haha
I recently purchased the mineral powder as an alternative to liquid foundation and very happy for the results. However it’s worth putting some sort of primer underneath for longer lasting coverage in my experience.
